The idea behind the work

For Honza, no dressage exercise, jump, or show matters more than the horse's willingness to stay in the conversation.

Beginnings

A life drawn toward horses

Honza Bláha was born in a small village in the Czech Republic. Fascinated by horses from childhood, he began riding lessons at the age of nine. Years later, he bought his first horse, Gaston.

Gaston changed Honza's life and opened a new chapter in the way he thought about riding and the communication between horse and human.

Together they explored groundwork and riding with fewer and fewer aids. The question was never how to remove equipment quickly, but how to make the conversation clear enough that it was no longer needed.

How is it possible that the horse never leaves you?

Line Free

Collection without pulling

Honza studied the work of many respected horse people and met many of them while appearing at events including Equitana, Show Jumping Amsterdam, and the USA Horse Tour.

With Gaston, he developed a path to collection in which pressure, release, and reward stay clear while ropes, reins, or a neck rope can gradually become unnecessary.

Their work grew through piaffe, passage, flying changes, pirouettes, and an international cross-country course. Each result rested on communication and balance rather than holding the horse in place.

No movement, jump, or show has ever mattered to me more than the horse's desire to be with me.

Line Free Collection

Knowledge as the next step

Honza's discoveries became the foundation of Line Free Collection and a way to help people teach each new step clearly from the beginning.

Every bit of knowledge gained is the beginning of more knowledge.
